Resources and Information from the Illinois Department of Public Health – The 2019 Novel Coronavirus (named 2019-nCoV) is a rapidly evolving situation and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) provides updates as information becomes available. To receive the most up to date information on the 2019-nCoV and other emerging outbreaks IDPH encourages health care providers to register for the Health Alert Network (HAN). The mission of the HAN is to provide rapid communication to health care providers and other public health partners of bioterrorism events, health alerts and advisories, infectious disease outbreaks, and other emergencies. If you would like instructions on how to register for the HAN please contact DPH.SIREN@illinois.gov.
In addition to registering for the HAN, you are also encouraged to visit IDPH’s 2019-nCoV webpage http://www.dph.illinois.gov/topics-services/diseases-and-conditions/diseases-a-z-list/coronavirus. Here you will find updates on local investigations, clinical guidelines for health care providers as well as printable fact sheets in English, Chinese and Spanish.
