In August 2018 the Association spearheaded Illinois’ fourth annual Free and Charitable Clinics Month to tell our communities the critical and vital role clinics play in the safety net health care system in Illinois.
We used this month to reach potential new patients, let existing donors know that their contributions remain needed and valuable, and increased recognition from local elected officials.
In 2018, 14 clinics participated in Free and Charitable Clinics Month, hosting 17 events across the state, including:

Will-Grundy Medical Clinic
Cordoba Healthcare
Indian American Medical Association
Old Irving Park Community Clinic
Events included direct medical and dental care, screenings, open houses, health education, access to medication, and expansion of clinic resources.
