The purpose of this page is to share with you different resources that would benefit clinics during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Clinic Policies and Procedures
The Americares Preparedness Team has developed a plan template and checklist to assist health centers in planning their response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The template and checklist are described below, along with links to register for free online training, based on the documents. Each training has limited space available, therefore multiple times are available.
All health centers are invited to meet individually with a preparedness expert. Individual Health Center Consultations: The preparedness experts are available to answer questions related to emergency planning and COVID-19 through 20-minute consultation sessions. COVID-19 Plan Assessment Training: This is a 30-minute online training to review how to use the checklist and answer any questions. Click here to register for the COVID-19 Plan Assessment Training.
For health centers that have an existing plan: The team has also developed an Infectious Disease Outbreak Plan Checklist. This checklist, based on best practices, allows for a plan assessment to identify gaps and areas for improvement. Click here for the Infections Disease Outbreak Plan Checklist.
COVID-19 Interactive Planning Workshop: This is a three-hour online workshop designed for health centers that would like more assistance in completing the Americares COVID-19 Response Plan Template. Participants will be given time during the webinar to work on their template and ask questions of the facilitators and other participants. COVID-19 Plan Training: This is a one-hour online training utilizing the Americares COVID-19 Response Plan Template. Participants will leave the training with a better understanding of how to complete each section of the template. Click here to register for the COVID-19 Plan Training.
For health centers that do not have an existing plan: The Americares Preparedness Team has developed a COVID-19 Response Plan Template for safety-net health centers. Available in a downloadable Word format, this template is meant to be edited by the clinic to match local requirements, health center capabilities, and policies.
